Job Summary Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Supportive Living waiver program. Responsible for ensuring high-quality, safe programming is provided to individuals served by waiver employees. Develops and completes all Waiver tasks with the assistance of the Director. Assists in all waiver program clerical, training, and direct support (CSP) of clients.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum level of education required - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and certified job coach under ARS Community Rehabilitation Program or related entities.
  • Minimum years of experience required - Two years' verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or related fields, and one year of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred three or more years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related field, and two (2) years of experience in supervising others.
  • Preferred knowledge of programs and services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Preferred experience in nonprofit organizations
  • Previous work with state licensures and related annual audits is a plus.
  • Must pass an extensive background check.
  • Must comply with drug testing requirements.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Must have a valid Arkansas driver's license, meet safe driver's requirements, and be 25 years of age.
  • Must be certified to perform CPR and first aid within 30 days of employment.
    Primary Job Duties
  • Takes an active role in recruitment and development of staff.
  • Assists with the planning and preparation of training and orientation of new CSPs.
  • Recommends personnel actions (hiring, performance management, etc.)
  • Responsible for effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the Waiver Supportive Living Program.
  • Completes weekly staff schedule.
  • Oversees work of assigned staff and manages shift assignments.
  • Ensures staff completes all safety drills.
  • Develop and implement waiver CSP and staff training plans as required by CADS and DDS.
  • Ensures employees are trained on compliance pertaining to federal and state licensing agency's regulations and CADS policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Oversees collection of all goal data.
  • Ensures documentation and other paperwork (timesheets, mileage, data collection, etc.) is completed and forwarded to the appropriate department.
  • Provides regular reports to supervisor including employee hours, training, staff turnover, and other staffing issues.
  • Coordinates with physicians, nurses, pharmacies, case managers, supervisors, staff, and individuals served to order, track, document, and ensure delivery of medications.
  • Schedule client doctor appointments.
  • Answers waiver office phones.
  • Greets and assists the public, clients, and vendors.
  • Assists supervisors in tracking payroll and mileage.
  • Responsible for conducting monthly home checks to ensure the client is living in a safe environment.
  • Conduct and submit all required paperwork for Money Follows the Person.
  • Moderate travel; travel may include but is not limited to the client's house, day programs, client jobs, appointments, and meetings.
  • Be responsible for administrator on-call duty.
  • Conducts CSP duties as assigned and as needed.
