Position: Director of Operations – Plant Manufacturing

Location: Arkansas – Relocation Packages Available

Salary: $150-$175K + Bonus and other incentives

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead operational functions, including production and packaging, to achieve departmental objectives and align with business strategy.
    • Oversee the management of plant employees, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and ongoing feedback.
    • Ensure daily production meets quality standards and schedules, proactively addressing staffing or operational adjustments as needed.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize scheduling, inventory management, and resolve production conflicts to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
    • Manage safety, quality, design, and performance of packaging lines while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
    • Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements in performance metrics, safety, quality, service, efficiency, waste, cost, and savings.
    • Provide strategic input on planning and budgeting, ensuring data-driven decision-making and alignment with business goals.
    • Support and lead capital investment projects, from identification to implementation and evaluation.
    • Collaborate on equipment and system designs to drive progressive improvements while minimizing risk.
    • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local occupational health and food safety regulations, as well as company safety standards.
    • Foster effective communication with Plant Manager and other departmental leaders to address performance, progress, concerns, and financial variances.
    • Partner with Quality teams to uphold compliance with Quality Systems, GMP rules, and audit expectations.
    • Integrate organizational changes and new processes, promoting a culture of operational excellence.
    • Conduct environmental analysis to understand and share insights with plant management.


    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
    • Experience with high-volume environments and a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Sound financial acumen and experience in P&L management.
    • Experience with automated assembly systems.
    • Strong organizational, leadership, time management, and communication skills.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and planning abilities.
    • Highly effective negotiator and communicator with demonstrated lean manufacturing capabilities.
    • Expertise in scheduling and project management within a manufacturing environment.
