Position Purpose

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of the following roles: Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive store sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with their Associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise customer service initiatives, including staffing, stock management, and store appearance, supporting sales efforts and customer satisfaction.
• Manage store associates through hiring, coaching, training, and performance reviews, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Oversee operations such as sales transactions, merchandise receiving, and store equipment maintenance, ensuring safety and adherence to SOPs.
• Drive business analysis and merchandise planning by analyzing sales trends, working with key partners to optimize merchandise placement, and managing inventory.

Reporting and Travel

• Report to a Store Manager and gradually assume supervision of associates.
• Overnight travel less than 10% is typically required.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor work with occasional light lifting or movement.
• Work environment is comfortable, with infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• No additional qualifications or leadership experience required.
