Searcy First Methodist Church

Position Overview
The Worship Leader is responsible for creating an engaging contemporary worship
experience, recruiting and mentoring music ministry participants, overseeing the Praise
Band and Audio/Visual team, and contributing to the church's mission of glorifying God,
growing in devotion to Jesus Christ, and connecting with the unconnected.
Key Responsibilities
? Create and lead lively contemporary worship services on Sunday mornings
? Recruit and develop participation in the music ministry, utilizing congregational talent.
? Collaborate with pastors and the Music Minister to plan and coordinate worship services.
? Organize and lead weekly rehearsals for worship teams.
? Participate in special services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, funerals, weddings).
? Supervise the Praise Band and assist with managing the Audio/Visual team.
? Support various age-level ministries and assist with Kids Chapel as needed.
? Work as a team player, contributing to the church's overall mission.
? Submit and oversee the worship budget alongside the Music Minister.
? Attend weekly staff meetings and both worship services. Desired Qualities
