Job Details

Medical Technologists provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision. The Medical Technologist's job includes preparing the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions. The job requires multitasking and quick decision making skills. Position requires good judgement and performance under pressure. May be called upon to be Tech in Charge. Other information:Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution. Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Physics or Biology will be considered and are at the discretion of the hiring manager at the time of application or promotion.
