The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

The company is based in Searcy, 50 miles NE of Little Rock and has 36 employees between the two offices located in Searcy and Memphis. This position is in Searcy.


This position will have an Assistant Project Manager reporting to him/her.


SUMMARY

Hart Construction is searching for a Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager oversees all aspects of commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate teams, manage contracts, and maintain client relationships.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ability to handle up to $15MM per project from estimating to close out/warranty.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Safety!
  2. Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of the construction process, including preconstruction, execution, and close-out, for projects up to $15MM.
  3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and vendors.
  4. Prepare and manage contracts, change orders, submittals, and shop drawings.
  5. Conduct regular project meetings, maintain clear communication with owners and stakeholders, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  6. Track project costs, prepare cost estimates, monthly billings, and financial forecasts; identify and address variances proactively.
  7. Ensure work complies with technical, safety, legal, and quality requirements.
  8. Actively manage project documentation and maintain organized records.
  9. Support business development efforts and foster long-term client relationships.
  10. Oversee project mobilization and participate in site activities as needed.
  11. Close out projects, ensuring all documentation and reporting are completed accurately.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability, and environmental conditions required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field (or 10+ years of field experience with at least 5 years as a Project Manager).
  2. Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, estimating, and cost control.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. This position requires infrequent travel. Most of our projects are in Arkansas and in the Mid-South; however, from time to time there will be travel out of town to and from projects.
  2. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and understand that candidate MVR will be run through with Hart Construction's insurance company.
