Design tooling and equipment for assembly and testing of our products
Assist in commissioning or upgrading equipment to the latest standards
Create tooling and equipment drawing packages using SolidWorks
Manage projects for creating new processes and equipment design as needed
Be proactive at solving problems and learning new techniques to increase production safety and efficiency
Support day-to-day manufacturing activities
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Minimum 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environments
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a computer; use hands to type or key, use a mouse, or feel; talk, and hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes and noise.
Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery and computers.
Walking throughout the day up to eight (8) hours.
Bending/Stooping repetitively throughout the day.
Push/Pull up repetitively throughout the day.
Proficient in MS Office Suite programs, particularly Excel,
2D & 3D drafting programs, i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks
Basic to knowledge of PLC programming/ladder logic
Basic electrical knowledge with familiarity with common components such as PLCs, Relays, VFDs
Basic engineering knowledge of such things as P& ID schematics, electrical schematics, time studies, process flows, scope of works, and OSHA Safety Standards
