Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an Environmental Project Manager I to join our team. This role performs multiple tasks on a project as assigned by their supervisor. Depending on the project and abilities, they will take an increasing role and responsibility for the project. Work will be a mix of field and office. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor junior staff and support team development.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical and administrative solutions.
  • Interface with clients regularly and maintain a client database.
  • Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, invoices, and assist with collections.
  • Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, consulting with supervisors as needed.
  • Manage multiple environmental projects simultaneously, applying technical support.
  • Prepare proposals, change orders, and environmental reports with analysis and recommendations.
  • Review deliverables and host or attend project discussions with clients.
  • Coordinate project setup, ensure trained staff are assigned, and oversee site activities.
  • Perform sample collection, analysis, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Review reports, perform site visits, mentor staff, and communicate milestones.
  • Manage underground storage tank assessments and ensure safety protocols.
  • Support development of staff and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • PE or PG license preferred.

Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and test methods.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and manage multiple projects.
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and walk on uneven terrain.
