Job description: Our award-winning client is seeking a *Process Engineer* to support operational excellence and capital improvement projects across their processing and storage operations.
*Experience in bulk material processing, agriculture-based processing, biomass manufacturing, or food production operations is required.*
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and implement *process improvements and cost-saving initiatives* across plant operations.
* Provide *engineering support and troubleshooting* for process, equipment, and operational issues.
* Support *equipment installation, system testing, and operational readiness* for new equipment and capital projects.
* Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed *safely, on schedule, and within budget*.
* Assist with *equipment selection, project scope development, and contractor/vendor management*.
* Develop and maintain *Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)* for new equipment and processes.
* Perform *root cause analysis* to address reliability issues, downtime, and quality challenges.
* Partner with *R&D teams* on process validation and development activities.
* Maintain equipment reliability and performance tracking through *Guidewheel software*.
* Support engineering work related to *facility improvements and plant upgrades*.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications
* *Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required.*
* *210 years of Process Engineering experience* in manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Experience with *plant design, process optimization, equipment selection, PFDs and P&IDs*, and system implementation.
* Working knowledge of *industrial electrical field devices* (limit switches, flow sensors, solenoid valves, proximity switches).
* Experience with *gas flow systems and instrumentation*, including valves and pressure transducers.
* Demonstrated experience managing *contractors, installation projects, and change orders*.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with *cross-functional teams and stakeholders*.
* Proficiency in *Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and AutoCAD*.
* Experience developing *engineering standards, documentation, and best practices*.
